Cloning a New Drive
- Restart the and machine and boot it to PXE Ubuntu.
- Login with ecc-admin.
- Get sudo privillages (Password at K11).
sudo -i
- Go to root home directory
cd /root/
- Run clone script.
./clone.sh
Manually Cloning a New Drive
- Restart the and machine and boot it to PXE Ubuntu.
- Login with ecc-admin.
- Get sudo privillages (Password at K11).
- Mount tinkerbell if it is not mounted
mount tinkerbell.engr.unr.edu:/exports/netboot/root/var/local /mnt
- cd into cloning folder
cd /mnt/clone
- copy partion table onto drive
dd if=mbr/mbr.bin of=/dev/sda
- Copy over boot partition
dd if=ecc-qemu-p1.img of=/dev/sda1 bs=4M
- use parted on drive
sudo parted /dev/sda resizepart 2 477GB
- Copy over root partiton
ntfsclone -r -O /dev/sda2 common/ecc-qemu-p4.ntfs
- Resize the partition
ntfsresize -ff
- Reboot! 😄
reboot
